The media platform of the US Department of State ShareAmerica is no longer available to users in the territory of the Russian Federation due to the dissemination of false information about the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine. This was reported on Wednesday in Roskomnadzor in response to a request from TASS.
"Access to the resource is restricted at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. The reason for restricting access was the dissemination of false information about a special military operation conducted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine," the ministry explained.
Earlier, from the data of the Roskomnadzor service to check the restriction of access to sites and (or) pages of sites on the Internet, it became known that the resource share.america.gov unavailable in accordance with the regulations for blocking websites containing calls for mass riots, extremism, participation in illegal mass actions. Roskomnadzor restricts access to such information based on the request of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation or his deputies.
The ShareAmerica resource is a media platform of the US State Department for the dissemination of information about the foreign policy of the United States of America, the website says.
