The head of the Russian Defense Ministry Shoigu announced the destruction of six HIMARS installations in Ukraine
During a special operation in Ukraine, the Russian military destroyed six launchers of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and more than 200 missiles to them, as well as five installations of the Harpoon anti-ship complex, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
During the conference call, he also said that more than 30 American M777 howitzers were destroyed during the special operation. Over the past two weeks, the enemy has lost almost 400 Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems and more than 120 portable Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems.
"Uncontrolled supplies of Western weapons to Ukraine seriously threaten the security of the region. A total of 33 American M777 howitzers and five launchers of the Harpoon anti-ship missile system were destroyed as a result of strikes by Russian troops on military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And also - six launchers and more than 200 missiles of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems," Shoigu said.
Also, according to him, over the past two weeks, Ukrainian troops "have lost 396 Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems, 125 portable anti-aircraft missile systems of the Stinger type."
Saved lives and liberated lands
Also during the selector, Shoigu said that the Russian military had recently occupied six settlements in the DPR.
"Recently, the settlements of Grigorovka, Berestovoye, Stryapovka, Pokrovskoye, Semigorye and Novoluganskoye have been liberated. The largest Uglegorsk thermal power plant in Europe with a design capacity of 3,600 megawatts has come under our control," he said.
Shoigu added that during July, Russian air defense systems shot down 34 enemy aircraft in Ukraine, intercepted 39 Tochka-U missiles and 226 multiple rocket launchers, which "saved thousands of lives."
Separately, he noted the work of the Russian military in establishing peaceful life in the liberated territories of Donbass.
"In total, about 1.4 thousand humanitarian actions were carried out, during which over 50.5 thousand tons of cargo were delivered. In the liberated territories, military builders are restoring civilian infrastructure," Shoigu listed.
According to him, a water pipeline with a length of about 90 kilometers has been built, which provides water supply of up to 50 thousand cubic meters for residents of Donetsk and surrounding areas. Now two more water pipelines are being built for 60 kilometers for residents of the DPR and LPR. Vital facilities are being built and reconstructed.
"Among them are 12 residential buildings for more than a thousand apartments, two multifunctional medical centers with a total capacity of 260 beds, as well as an administrative and rescue center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations," the minister added.

The capture of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk allowed Russian servicemen and the forces of the republics of Donbass to completely liberate the territory of the LPR, the diplomat added, noting that the planned offensive in the DPR continues.
The greatest resistance is recorded in the Avdiivka direction, where the AFU formed an artillery bridgehead with multi-kilometer fortifications.
The last major operational success of the joint grouping of the Russian military and the forces of the DPR and LPR was the capture of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant in Svetlodarsk on July 26. Then the assistant to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR Vitaly Kiselyov said that the APU had been knocked out of the enterprise. Also on July 26, Kiselyov reported that the forces of the DPR and LPR took control of the settlement of Novoluganskoye. According to him, there are "two or three days left" for the units of the allied forces to unite and fully align the line of contact with the enemy.
"The assault detachments of the Wagner PMCs occupied the entire territory of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant this morning. Since May 22, it has been held by the AFU units that retreated from Svetlodarsk and surrounding settlements due to the threat of encirclement," Kiselyov wrote.
In fact, the occupation of the thermal power plant on July 26, 2022 means the repetition and completion of the operational plan of the Debaltseve operation of 2015 (the so-called "Debaltseve boiler") of the confrontation between Ukraine and the republics of Donbass.
On July 3, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the capture of the settlements of Verkhnekamenka, Zolotarevka and Belogorovka. On the same day, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that control had been established over Lisichansk and nearby Novodruzhesk, Maloryazantsevo and Belaya Gora.
