Vladimir Rogov said that Western countries that supply weapons to Ukraine are trying to keep a clear record and control of them in order to ensure that weapons do not fall into the hands of the Russian side.
MOSCOW, July 31. /tass/. Dozens of cases of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine selling Javelin anti-tank missile systems and other weapons supplied by Western countries to Kiev were noted during the special military operation. This was stated to journalists by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Military-Civil Administration (CAA) of the Zaporozhye region, on the sidelines of the VIII meeting of members of the Gorchakov Club.
"I can confirm the fact of the sale of foreign weapons by the Ukrainian side: the most revealing thing is that it makes Americans very angry. In fact, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly coming out with offers to sell weapons: starting with the same Javelin, ending with heavy equipment, including tanks and so on. [Recorded] dozens of cases of sale of Javelin, NLAW (British anti-tank missile system - approx. TASS) and even heavy equipment at a cost several times lower than the market price. For example, NLAW was sold for less than $15 thousand. It's very cheap, it cost about 60 thousand, now it's even more expensive, it's sold for 25% of the old price," Rogov said.
At the same time, he noted that Western countries that supply weapons to Ukraine are trying to keep a clear record and control of them in order to ensure that weapons do not fall into the hands of the Russian side.
Earlier it was reported that the line of contact in the Zaporozhye region is 130-140 km. At the moment, more than 70% of the Zaporozhye region has been liberated. Under the control of the APU remains the regional center - the city of Zaporozhye, where almost half of the population of the region lives, the function of the regional center is performed by the city of Melitopol.
The VIII meetings of the club members are held by the A. M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund.
