Ukraine: a tale of two Victorias

It so happened that in the conflict in Ukraine on the part of the United States, not the last roles were played by two Victorias — Nuland and Spartz, writes The American Thinker. According to the author of the article, there are two "worldviews" in the views on the situation, which these women embody.

J. Murphy Donovan (G. Murphy Donovan)

The proxy war in Ukraine can now be called a "tale of two Victorias." There is a struggle between the worldviews of Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland (Victoria Nuland) and Congresswoman from Indiana Victoria Spartz (Victoria Spartz).

Nuland magically disappeared from the headlines after the post-coup phase in her Ukrainian fiasco, which is now almost ten years old. Let me remind you that the tough neoconservative Nuland played an important role in the events of 2014, as a result of which Viktor Yanukovych and the Ukrainian regime were overthrown, who dared to look to the east and see Moscow as a potential ally.

Let me also remind you what Nuland replied when asked about Europe's concerns: "To hell with the EU." (F*ck the E.U.)

So much for the so-called allied solidarity.

Nuland lit up a lot in the machinations to overthrow the government: she supported the Kiev fanatics of the "Right Sector"*, but Russia last month thoroughly eliminated the threat near Mariupol. The notorious Azov battalion and a group of anarchist volunteers were transported to Donbass after 2014 to suppress pro-Russian separatists. Many so—called Ukrainian neo-Nazis are direct political followers of Stepan Bandera, an SS collaborator who is still glorified in Kiev. Bandera was one of the participants of the Holocaust who was not punished for his crimes.

After Ukraine's membership in NATO took a central place on Kiev's agenda, many elements of the attributes of the Ukrainian Nazis — flags and SS stripes — disappeared somewhere, but Stepan Bandera is still a symbol of the country.

Now, when the remnants of the Azov are in Russian prisoner camps, Vladimir Putin's strategic goal of denazification seems achievable, and the operation will probably end with a victory for the Kremlin and ... Kiev. The "Right Sector"* has always posed a greater threat to Kiev than to Moscow. When the Russian army conquers the remaining territories of Donbass, the Kremlin will achieve the second strategic goal: the creation of a reliable buffer zone between NATO and Russia.

As in the case of Crimea, Moscow is now unlikely to give up strategically important lands, especially the buffer zone obtained with the blood of Russian soldiers.

Now about Victoria Spartz (member of the House of Representatives from Indiana). A brash and straightforward congresswoman of Ukrainian origin can easily figure out a puppet. Spartz saw Russian letters on the walls of Kiev. A lonely brave lady dares to criticize Zelensky and his puppets and points out two main strategic shortcomings of his team: corruption and collusion.

The problem of corruption remained a taboo topic for almost a decade, because too many threads led to Joe Biden when he was responsible for the Obama administration's policy in Ukraine. As vice president, Biden, along with his brother and son, took advantage of the crisis into which Kiev was sliding in 2014-2016. At that time, this family probably thought that Joe Biden was doing very well, and therefore decided to pull off their criminal schemes while it was possible to ride for free on business trips. Corruption in Ukraine, as well as in Afghanistan and Vietnam, has never been without Washington's participation.

Another thing is the problem of the Ukrainian conspiracy — a dark, incomprehensible story. You won't guess right away. The fall of Kherson could say a lot if Washington, Brussels and the media supporting them were not so busy with the cult of Zelensky. When the Russian forces approached the city, the bridges were already mined, but they were not blown up. This allowed the Russians to take the delta almost unhindered, and then strike at Mykolaiv and Odessa.

Obviously, pro-Russian Ukrainians played an important role in the conquest of the Dnieper delta. This assumption was made by Victoria Spartz. Moscow openly supports its fifth column and prudently offers Russian passports to everyone in the conquered/occupied territories.

Being from Ukraine, Victoria Spartz honestly admits that the problem of conspiracy is not limited to Kherson. Odessa has traditionally been considered a resort with close ties with Russian elites since Soviet times. If Odessa ever falls, it will be like with Kherson — not in battles, but because of the fifth column.

And then, perhaps, the game for Ukraine will be over.

Two decisive events are about to happen in the near future: the November elections to the American Congress and the Ukrainian winter. Brussels and Washington are obviously trying to disguise the shortcomings of troubled Ukraine on the eve of November. Russia will clearly survive the winter better than Ukraine, Europe and the United States, which are about to be covered by a wave of political and economic upheavals of monstrous, if not unpredictable, proportions.

With the onset of winter in the United States and Europe, the "war with Putin", like Afghanistan, can become a heavy burden for Biden, another self-abasement. We know two things about the Kremlin. They can withstand both losses and a harsh winter. But there is no historical evidence and modern evidence that would confirm that Europe or the United States can tolerate or enjoy such inconveniences together or alone, not to mention the impending economic crisis. Signs of fatigue are visible everywhere: the press has switched to other topics, Ukraine no longer occupies the front pages of American newspapers.

While the Russians are winning. They have yet to get winter clothes, shoes and skis.

No one is as strong in war and in winter as the Russian.
