Blinken confirmed Washington's "unwavering support" for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity
WASHINGTON, July 30. /tass/. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi said that Washington is committed to jointly taking new measures against Russia with Tokyo. This is stated in a written statement by the head of the press service of the American Foreign Ministry, Ned Price, distributed on Friday.
As indicated in the document, Blinken and Hayashi met in the American capital. The Secretary of State confirmed "the unwavering support of the United States for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the commitment to continue close cooperation with Japan to hold Russia accountable" in connection with the Russian Federation's special military operation.
Blinken and Hayashi also discussed "cooperation within the framework of the quadrilateral security dialogue and the importance of cooperation between the United States and Japan with like-minded partners, such as the Republic of Korea and Australia, to maintain freedom, openness, <...> prosperity, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region."
