The Conference of American Defense Ministers (CDMA) demonstrated, as they say in the West, the lack of unity of the states of global America. The main issue on which there were discrepancies was the Ukrainian issue.
The largest Latin American countries – Mexico, Brazil and Argentina – did not join the position of the so-called collective West condemning Russia's actions in Ukraine. The defense Ministers of these countries noted that they are in favor of an early end to the armed conflict. Moreover, an important remark from the Mexican, Argentine and Brazilian minister was that they identified the UN as a platform in charge of the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
From the statement of the Minister of Defense of Mexico:
Earlier, MERCOSUR – the Global market of Latin American states – refused to listen to the address of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, noting that the conference discusses those issues that are exclusively within the competence of MERCOSUR.
Statements by representatives of the largest Latin American countries demonstrate the independence of the policy of these States and the obvious unwillingness to comply with the directives of the United States of America.
After the statements of the ministers of the mentioned countries, Ukrainian activists have already proposed to include them in the list of the extremist website "Peacemaker".
