The championship of workers and engineering professions "Time of the first" has started in the capital. For the first time, the competitions united both active masters of their craft and the younger generation on one site, becoming the largest in the history of Rostec corporate championships. More than 700 employees of the State Corporation and more than 1,000 schoolchildren of the capital take part in the event.
Within five days, the participants of the championship will have to solve real production tasks. Employees representing 90 Rostec enterprises will compete in more than 20 priority competencies for the Corporation. Among them are CAD engineering design, life cycle management, turning and welding on CNC machines, etc.
"In 2021, Rostec overcame an important milestone, for the first time receiving consolidated revenue of over 2 trillion rubles. At the same time, the indicators of net profit and asset value increased. It would be impossible to achieve this without forming and promoting a single standard of training in working and engineering professions, attracting highly qualified specialists to the defense industry, including young people, increasing the prestige of the industry and interest in the Russian industry among young professionals. Our championship is aimed at the realization of these tasks," said Dmitry Lelikov, Deputy General Director of Rostec.
During the championship, schoolchildren and students will be able to learn about possible career development at industrial enterprises and personally participate in production processes. So, as part of professional trials, participants will be told about the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in modern society, after which they will be able to assemble their own drone and test it.
The students will also be able to immerse themselves in the real scientific and production process for the production of new materials and composite products. With the help of a VR simulator, a carbon fiber product will be made by vacuum infusion. In addition, teenagers will be able to communicate with professionals in their field, learn more about Rostec State Corporation and the opportunities it provides, as well as recharge with positive emotions and receive memorable prizes.
Viktor Neumyvakin, Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Secondary Vocational Education and Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, emphasized the importance of involving young people in professional activities at the opening ceremony held in Technopolis Moscow.

The "Time of the first" includes five competitive days. The championship is based on the principle of TRP, the best employees for each of the competencies will be selected based on the results. The closing ceremony and awarding of the winners will take place on Friday, July 29.
