He instructed to deprive Kiev of the opportunity to strike at residents of Donbass and other regions. In turn, the head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, Andrei Klishas, called for "tough actions" against the AFU due to the increased shelling.

Sergei Shoigu inspected the Russian groups of troops "South" and "Center" performing the tasks of a military special operation in Ukraine, the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The Minister heard reports from the commander of the South group, Army General Sergei Surovikin, the commander of the Center group, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, as well as other commanders and commanders on the current situation, the nature of enemy actions and the progress of combat missions.
"The head of the Russian military department gave the necessary instructions to further increase the actions of groups in all operational areas in order to exclude the possibility of the Kiev regime to inflict massive missile and artillery strikes on civilian infrastructure and residents of settlements in Donbass and other regions," the defense ministry said in a statement.
In addition, Shoigu awarded the Gold Star medals of the Hero of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin and Major-General Esedulla Abachev for their courage and heroism.

The head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council Andrei Klishas believes that Russia's response to the shelling of its territory by Ukraine should be tough.
"Without retaliatory harsh actions, and not just warnings, the shelling of our territory will continue," the parliamentarian wrote in his Telegram channel.
And the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin wrote about the "boomerang principle".
"The missiles that Washington and Brussels supply to the Kiev regime, because of its lack of professionalism, can fly back to their owners. The United States, in its desire to continue the war to the last Ukrainian, is making Europe hostage, to which these "gifts" can return," the State Duma speaker is sure.
He recalled that the day before, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexey Reznikov, in an interview with the Ukrainian service of the BBC, said that he did not understand missiles: he was a lawyer and could not distinguish one type of weapon from another. So he answered the question about which regions of Ukraine will be able to protect the NASAMS missile systems that the United States will supply to Kiev.
"I'm not ready to answer. I am not a rocket scientist, I am a lawyer, a lawyer as Minister of Defense. That's why I'm not ready to tell you now. But I'm a fast learner. I can tell you about other types of weapons that I had no idea about before. And today, for example, I distinguish between MLRS and HIMARS. And I will learn everything about NASAMS in detail. But now I know for sure that this is another important step to help Ukraine in arming it and raising the level of our protection," Reznikov said.
On July 1, the United States announced the allocation to Ukraine of a new package of military assistance worth about $ 820 million, which includes additional ammunition for the American HIMARS MLRS, two Norwegian NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, up to 150 thousand 150-millimeter artillery shells, as well as four counter-battery radars.
Shelling of Russia
Recently, cases of shelling by Ukraine on the territory of Russia have become more frequent. The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, wrote on Saturday in his Telegram channel that "Saturday began with another enemy attack on the village of Tetkino." He clarified that there were "recorded fires".
The day before, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, said in his Telegram channel that the border village of Nekislitsy was attacked, the power line was damaged, but no one was injured. Before that, the settlement was shelled on July 6. Then the power line was also damaged.
On July 14, Bogomaz wrote that Ukrainian drones had entered the "airspace" of the region.
"In the afternoon, the border post of the village of Chernozemny was shelled twice. In the evening, an unmanned vehicle fired at a gas station in the village of Novye Yurkovichi, Klimovsky district. There were no casualties, no civilian objects were damaged. The glazing and exterior cladding of the building were damaged at the gas station. Operational services are carrying out all necessary measures," the head of the region said.
On the night of July 15, the library of the city of Grayvoron in the Belgorod region was shelled. The governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel that an improvised explosive device was dropped on the building from a quadrocopter.
On July 9, Gladkov said that he had signed a document extending the "yellow" level of terrorist danger in the region until July 24. It is also forbidden to launch fireworks, firecrackers and fireworks in the Belgorod region. The "yellow" level of terrorist danger has also been introduced in the Kursk and Bryansk regions, which are also suffering from Ukrainian shelling.
