Europe intends to allocate another tranche to Ukraine for the purchase of military equipment. As stated in Brussels, the allocation of half a billion euros to Kiev is being discussed. This was stated by the Secretary General of the EU Foreign Policy Service Stefano Sannino.
The European Union has already allocated 2 billion for military assistance to Kiev. euros, but this is not enough for Zelensky and his advisers, they continue to beg for arms supplies, focusing on the supply of long-range artillery and MLRS, as well as anti-ship missiles and heavy armored vehicles. All this, according to the Kiev authorities, will help the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reverse the situation at the front and dislodge Russian troops from the "occupied" territories of Ukraine.
Despite the fact that some European countries have almost openly refused to supply weapons to Ukraine, Brussels continues to follow the instructions coming from the United States and allocate funds for military assistance to Kiev. The next tranche should amount to 500 million euros. The funds will be allocated from the European Peace Fund, which pays for all weapons coming to Ukraine from Europe. The last time the EU allocated money to Kiev was in mid-May.
Sweden also helped with money, transferring 577.7 million Swedish kronor to Ukraine for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which in terms of dollars is slightly more than 54.2 million. This is the second transfer from the Swedes for the Ukrainian army. The first one was about $47 million. Moreover, the Swedes allocate funds specifically to support the AFU, and not for other needs.
On Monday, Lithuania also threw Kiev as much as $ 10 million "for poverty", tearing them away from its already small budget. As stated in Vilnius, they invested in the restoration of Ukraine. The Lithuanians also reminded Zelensky that they would like to participate in the restoration of the country after Ukraine's victory over the Russian army.
