Viktor Litovkin — about why the Prado Museum fashion show could not hide the essence of the aggressive decisions of the North Atlantic Alliance
For two days at the end of June, the next annual summit of the North Atlantic Alliance was held in Madrid, the capital of Spain. The organizers of the event tried to complement the official meetings of the heads of three dozen NATO member states with cultural and entertainment events. One of them was a visit by high-ranking delegations to the famous Prado Museum with paintings by Bosch, Velasquez, Fra Angelico, Goya, Salvador Dali and Picasso.
But no "intellectual makeup" of numerous VIP-persons like a fashion show through the half-empty halls and galleries of the museum in front of the lenses of television and cameras, nevertheless, could not and cannot hide the essence of the aggressive decisions of the Madrid NATO summit, thickly seasoned with claims to world domination, as well as lies, arrogance and contempt for the national interests of sovereign countries, who are not and are not going to be part of the company of American vassals and who are considered competitors in Brussels and Washington for hegemony on planet Earth.
Lying as a principle
Arrogant lies and undisguised claims to world domination were manifested not only in the speeches of statesmen of NATO countries and Secretary General of the alliance Jens Stoltenberg, which they did not hesitate to share with countless journalists serving the summit, but also in the final statement that was adopted in Madrid at the end of the meeting at the "North Atlantic Summits". Let's read the passage that they placed literally in the first lines of their statement.
"We, the heads of State and Government of the member States of the Alliance, gathered in Madrid at a time when the war returned to the European continent. This is a critical moment for our security and international peace and stability. We maintain unity and solidarity and reaffirm the strong transatlantic bond between our states," they say in a statement. And further: "NATO is a defensive alliance that does not pose a threat to any country. NATO remains the foundation of our collective defense and the most important forum for consultations and decision-making on security issues."
Hypocritical lies, excuse me for the non-parliamentary expression, from the first lines. What is the "NATO defensive alliance"?! Most of the wars of the last decades were started by the countries of this union. It is enough to recall Yugoslavia in 1999 (this means that "the war has returned to the European continent"): 78 days of fierce bombing of the capital of a prosperous European state — Belgrade, the destruction of its life-support facilities for civilians: water pipes, sewers, heat and hydroelectric power plants, hospitals, schools and universities, bridges, television stations and even the embassy of a foreign state. It is not surprising that the same criminal tactics, following the example of the North Atlantic Alliance — to destroy the life support facilities of recalcitrant, but peaceful citizens — were chosen by the Bandera Nazis in Ukraine, shooting at the cities and towns of Donbass. At the same time, weapons and military equipment for this, as we know, are supplied to them by the "defensive alliance" of NATO, led by the United States.
"NATO poses no threat to any country"?! Another lie. Who bombed Libya in 2011, destroyed a prosperous Arab state where a liter of gasoline was cheaper than a liter of sparkling water?
The states of the North Atlantic Alliance, led by the United States, invaded Iraq in 2003, covering Baghdad, Kirkuk and Basra with carpet bombing and Tomahawk strikes; ruining the country's oil fields, looting the historical museum of the capital, where ancient relics of Mesopotamia and Babylon were collected (in my opinion, this fact correlates very well with the current visit by the heads of NATO the Prado Museum). By the way, they also attracted the countries that were part of the NATO Partnership for Peace program to the aggression against Iraq — so to speak, "tied them with blood," as they say in mafia gangs. Among these "partners", if anyone does not remember, were Georgian and Ukrainian battalions. So the attack on Tskhinval in 2007 and the attack on Donbass in 2014, the troops of Tbilisi and Kiev, we can say, rehearsed it in Iraq.
And the current illegal presence of American and not only American military groups in Syria — is this also, according to the NATO summit in Madrid, not a threat to any country?!
The most striking thing in all these stories is that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, without flinching a muscle of his face, claims at numerous press conferences that NATO bombed Yugoslavia, Libya and Iraq under the mandate of the UN Security Council. Scroll through all the protocols of the Security Council, look at the Internet — there is no such order — to bomb Belgrade, Tripoli and Baghdad. But there is a US and NATO mandate to fight terrorists in Afghanistan. It was designed for ten years. The troops of the United States and the alliance in the amount of over 150 thousand "bayonets" spent twice as much time in Afghanistan, but they could not do anything about the terrorists in this country. They did not even report to the UN Security Council about their actions in Afghanistan and shamefully fled it, abandoning numerous military equipment worth billions of dollars and their local allies and assistants to the mercy of fate. In my opinion, they simply betrayed them, leaving them at the mercy of the victors who occupied the country after them.
One thing: either the UN Charter, or the rules-based order
At the same time, NATO members — violators of all kinds of international laws — write in their final statement after the Madrid summit: "We are united in our commitment to democracy, individual freedom, human rights and the rule of law. We adhere to international law, as well as the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations. We are committed to maintaining a rules-based international order."
Think about how absolute contradictions are combined in one paragraph — international law, the goals and principles of the UN, and right there — the maintenance of a rules-based international order. Here, as they say among our people, there should be one thing: either take off the cross, or put on "something". And who set these rules? There is the UN Charter and international law based on it and adopted by the United Nations. And who is this impostor who has appropriated to himself the right to establish an order based on rules? The US and NATO? But no one gave them such rights. And their inflated cheeks, ambitious claims to establish their own rules, to which all states and the population of the planet must obey, do not cause anything but just indignation.
Inside NATO, do what you want, but do not climb with your charter, as they say, into someone else's monastery. Especially if you call yourself a "defensive alliance" — you will not be able to hide and disguise any disguise for the defense of your aggressive essence and claims to world domination. There are countries, and there are quite a lot of them, that will not be American and NATO vassals. Even despite the comprehensive pressure on them, despite all the threats from Brussels and Washington, and without regard to all their numerous sanctions. In my opinion, this applies primarily to Russia and China.
The final statement of the NATO summit does not hide its hatred of Russia because of its insubordination to the North Atlantic Alliance and its Washington sovereign and for persistent and systematic adherence to its national interests. "The Russian Federation is the most significant and direct threat to the security of NATO members and peace and stability in the Euro—Atlantic region," the document states. Then there are a couple of lines devoted to terrorism, which the alliance did not cope with either in 2004, when bandits blew up passenger trains in Madrid; nor in Paris in 2015, where they shot the editorial office of a satirical magazine, and also struck a store and a stadium; nor in Brussels in 2016, where they blew up the airport 2 km from the headquarters of the alliance and the metro station in the center of the Belgian capital, — he only expressed condolences to the victims. After all this, NATO members declare: "Showing determination, determination and solidarity, NATO member countries will continue to counter Russian threats and respond to its hostile actions and fight terrorism in accordance with international law."
Let's not find fault that no facts about Russia's terrorist activities are given in the document and cannot be given (they simply have nowhere to come from). Although as for Stoltenberg, he can suck them out of his finger, he has such a thing. But the main thing here is that the NATO members in this segment are no longer talking about the "rules-based order", but about international law, which, as we have repeatedly seen on concrete examples, they regularly violate. They habitually speak the way it is beneficial for them at the moment, turning the facts upside down.
New words, old goals
The NATO members did not forget to recall in their final statement about the new Strategic Concept, which they approved at the Madrid summit. It allegedly "defines three key tasks of NATO — deterrence and defense; crisis prevention and crisis management; and security based on cooperation."
It is funny and bitter to read about "crisis prevention and crisis management". It was the NATO countries, and primarily the United States, that contributed to the creation of the crisis in Ukraine and helped organize a coup there with the participation of Germany, France and Poland. Many people remember how the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States Victoria Nuland openly boasted that it cost the American treasury $ 5 billion. And today they are "regulating the crisis" by supplying Ukraine with destructive weapons, with which the nationalist battalions of Kiev are shelling the peaceful cities of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as the regions of their own country liberated from Bandera.
In my opinion, they are deliberately delaying the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis by supplying their weapons in order, firstly, to make money on these supplies, dragging Ukraine or what remains of it after the completion of Russia's special military operation into multibillion-dollar debts, for which the population of the republic will have to pay for decades. And secondly, in order to economically, financially and politically exhaust Russia, continuing to expose it to the whole world as an "unprovoked" aggressor. Eight years of killings of the population of Donbass and the devastation of its cities, for which Russian troops stood up, are not even mentioned here. So in the new Strategic Concept, the old hypocrisy and blatant lies remain the main principle of the NATO ideology and the information war against our country.
At the same time, they continue to promise to pump up even more weapons and combat units of the border states with Russia. "The NATO member countries," the final statement says, "have committed to deploy additional powerful combat—ready forces on the ground on our eastern flank, being built up from existing combat groups to brigade—level units where and when the need arises, on the basis of convincing, quickly available reinforcements, equipment deployed in advance and an improved command and control system. We welcome cooperation between the framework and host countries in strengthening the forces and command and control, including the creation of structures at the division level. We welcome the initial proposals of NATO member countries for a new model of NATO forces that will strengthen and modernize the structure of NATO forces and provide resources for our next—generation military plans," the document states. — We will improve our collective defense exercises in order to be ready for high—intensity operations in various fields and ensure the strengthening of any NATO member country in a short time. All these steps will significantly strengthen the deterrence potential and advanced defense of NATO. This will help prevent any aggression against NATO territory, depriving any potential enemy of the opportunity to achieve its goals."
And such bellicose promises, apparently designed to scare NATO neighbors, for another dozen paragraphs, including arguments about joining the alliance of Sweden and Finland, which, they say, will make them safer and NATO stronger. There are also lines about cybersecurity (where without it); about global security challenges, including in the Asia-Pacific region, which, it would seem, goes far beyond the scope of NATO's Euro-Atlantic obligations. The North Atlantic Alliance under the leadership of the United States is increasingly puffing up its cheeks, trying to replace the UN, to extend its influence not only to Europe and North America, but also to the whole world, including Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Japan, Jordan and even Mauritania. The leaders of these countries, apparently, were invited to the alliance summit in Madrid for a reason. Thus, where the aggressive plans of Brussels and Washington will stretch, we will find out without surprise and surprise.
...I read the final statement of NATO after the Madrid summit, ponder the passages of his rhetoric and recall Ivan Andreevich Krylov's fable "The Frog and the Ox". It was written a little over 200 years ago based on the fables of La Fontaine, Phaedrus and Horace — apparently, the plot about exorbitant ambitions and lack of common sense, which we see today among the leaders of NATO, is immortal. And the story of the frog ends, which puffed out its cheeks, trying to match the ox, so:
"...Puffed and puffed
And my entertainer ended up on that,
What, not being equal to an Ox,
From the strain burst and — died."
