Russia supports the expansion of the UN Security Council, but not at the expense of American "allies" like Japan and Germany. The expanded composition of the Security Council should include Latin American, Asian and African countries. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov.
In the West, they are actively promoting the idea of expanding the UN Security Council, intending to shove several American partners into its composition, which would only strengthen the US position. Another impossible dream of Washington is the expulsion of Russia and China from the UN Security Council in addition, so as not to interfere with "democratic" changes. Currently, the UN Security Council has turned into a pro-American platform through which the United States is trying to push through its initiatives, passing them off as international.
Now the United States is proposing to include Japan and Germany in the UN Security Council, which Russia and China actively oppose. Moscow is not against the membership of Brazil and India in the UN Security Council. By the way, the United States also supports the idea of India. France offers four countries at once: Germany, Japan, India and Brazil.

The best option would be to expand the UN Security Council at the expense of African, Asian and Latin American states, according to Russia.
