According to the concern, when forming such ratings, in particular, the lists of arms manufacturers published annually by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the American specialized weekly Defense News, the organizers use data on the volume and structure of consolidated revenue. "Despite the growth of the concern's revenue by the end of 2021 in comparison with 2020, we consider the disclosure of its indicators to be sensitive information, the dissemination of which can be used to further strengthen the sanctions pressure on the company, its Russian and foreign partners," the press service explained.
The concern added that due to the increase in sanctions pressure on Russia, a significant part of the information in the sphere of the Russian military-industrial complex has become classified data.
In addition, Almaz - Antey does not consider the level of reliability of the ranking of companies in foreign ratings to be indisputable. "The organizers of such events do not have the opportunity to verify the sales volumes declared by their participants, which in recent years has led to the appearance of new companies in the lists of leaders - without a transparent history, without a reputation in the international arms market," the press service added. The concern also recalled that its activities are not limited to military products, and in the current situation, respect for partners in both the defense and civilian spheres "conflicts" with the possibility of further participation of the holding in such ratings.
