Global exports of semiconductors to Russia, which are considered one of the most important technologies, have recently fallen by 90 percent due to sanctions imposed by Western countries.
This is reported by Reuters with reference to the head of the US Department of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
According to the official, the restrictions imposed on Moscow prevent the aerospace sector from receiving income, as well as the functioning of the military-industrial complex, in particular, in the production of military aircraft.
According to Raimondo, in the coming years, Russia will be forced to decommission from half to two-thirds of the aircraft, which will have to be disassembled for spare parts for the normal functioning of the remaining ones.
According to Washington, currently 38 countries, including the United States, carry out export controls against Russia.
Earlier it was reported that new electronics in the Russian Federation began to be disassembled into parts due to a shortage of components.
Meanwhile, the Russian authorities hope for a threefold growth of the Russian radio-electronic industry by 2030.
