Ukrainian nationalists used the American M142 HIMARS jet system to strike the cities of the LPR, thereby "lighting up" it and enabling intelligence to track the MLRS. As stated in Lugansk, in the near future, the complex supplied from the United States will be destroyed.
According to information coming from Lugansk, this morning the AFU used the American MLRS M142 HIMARS for the first time, striking at the city of Perevalsk, located 50 kilometers from the front line. The strike was carried out from the direction of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), it is reported about one rocket fired at the city. Intelligence managed to track the movement of the American complex, measures are being taken to destroy the MLRS.

Earlier, the Pentagon stated that they intend to provide Ukraine with intelligence information about targets so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not waste expensive ammunition on secondary targets. Apparently, Perevalsk and the civilian population belong to the primary goals, since the United States allowed to spend "expensive" shells around the city.
As previously reported, the United States has delivered four M142 HIMARS MLRS to Ukraine, and Kiev will receive four more installations in the near future. The American complexes come together with precision-guided GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System) ammunition with a firing range of 60 km. In addition, three MARS II MLRS, which are the German version of the M270 MLRS installation, will be supplied by Germany, and three more M270B1 by the United Kingdom. Also, together with the installations, M31A1 ammunition will be delivered, which are guided missiles for the M270 MLRS with a range of up to 70 km.
