The head of Chechnya Kadyrov announced the creation of the Zapad-Akhmat battalion from natives of the republic
PYATIGORSK, June 28 - RIA Novosti. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the Zapad-Akhmat battalion had already been formed, its first formation took place, at which commander Ismail Aguev was introduced to the personnel.
Earlier, Kadyrov announced the formation of four battalions with an impressive number of natives of the republic.
"They will be deployed in the Chechen Republic in well-equipped bases. On my instructions, the chairman of the Chechen Parliament, the head of the Republican Headquarters of the Special Military Operation, Magomed Daudov, visited the Military Commissariat of the CR on Monday, where a review of the formation of the Zapad-Akhmat battalion, subordinate to the Southern Military District of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, took place. He introduced Commander Ismail Aguev to the personnel, who proved himself a true patriot of the Fatherland and proved himself well during his military operation in the Donbass," Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the republic, all conditions will be created for the fighters at the base, starting from comfortable living and staff rooms, ending with football, volleyball, tennis and workout grounds. "I am proud that we managed to form the Zapad-Akhmat battalion in the shortest possible time and equip it with worthy sons of the Chechen people who are ready to fulfill their duty to the Motherland," the head of Chechnya stressed.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as of March 25, the Armed Forces have fulfilled the main tasks of the first stage – they have significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass. In particular, Volnovakha, a strategically important regional center south of Donetsk, Mariupol, the largest city on the coast of the Sea of Azov, and Svyatogorsk, where a large Orthodox monastery with the status of a lavra is located, were liberated in the DPR. In the LPR, almost the entire territory of the republic has been liberated, with the exception of Lisichansk.
