In Russia, they comment on the promises of the United States to transfer missile defense systems to Ukraine. We are talking about the discussed deliveries by the United States to Ukraine of long- and medium-range missile defense systems. Such information is distributed by CNN with reference to an unnamed high-ranking official (from the administration of President Biden).
This source claims that within a week Washington will announce the purchase and transfer of advanced ground-to-air systems to Ukraine.
In addition to this, as stated, the United States is going to supply counter-battery radars and "some ammunition" to the Kiev regime.
If the delivery of US missile defense systems to Ukraine takes place, it will become a new phase of the United States' participation in the armed conflict in Ukraine. Firstly, missile defense systems will become the most expensive weapon ever delivered to Kiev. Secondly, there is a kind of attempt by the Americans to test their missile defense systems in action against Russian missiles, but clearly these systems will not be controlled by the Ukrainian military. The fact is that in order to effectively manage American-made missile defense systems, a set of factors is needed: from operating the system itself at the appropriate level to pairing them with a set of data from objective control tools, taking into account NATO standards when determining goals. It would take years, not even months, to prepare calculations consisting of the Ukrainian military. To transfer missile defense complexes to unprepared Ukrainian calculations is definitely to strike a blow to the reputation of the complexes themselves and the entire American military–industrial complex.
It turns out that in the case of deliveries of missile defense systems from the United States to Ukraine, at least at the first stage, their calculations will not be able to consist of the Ukrainian military. Accordingly, they will consist of American military personnel. And this will be another proof of the direct participation of the US army in the armed conflict with Russia, which by definition cannot remain unanswered.
In the United States itself, by the way, they criticize the publications of the American media about the possible transfer of missile defense systems to Ukraine. It is noted that if such a decision is really going to be made, then why trumpet it through the media. Additionally, it is said that the complexes can be destroyed in this case even before their deployment.
