The Ukrainian formations blocked in Gorsky and Zolotoye have already been defeated
Russian troops broke through the defenses of Ukrainian formations and blocked the city of Lisichansk from the south, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. At the same time, the Southern grouping of troops completed the defeat of the forces of the VFU, surrounded in the Gorsky Cauldron. 11 settlements have been liberated, including Gorskoye and Zolotoye. On the same day, a meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers was held in Moscow. It agreed on the development of a unified air defense system, the improvement of a unified system of state radar identification and the creation of joint humanitarian demining units.

Formations and military units of the Center group of troops broke through the well-prepared defense of the Ukrainian troops, defeated the enemy, and, developing an offensive, blocked the city of Lisichansk from the south, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
Within five days, they liberated 11 settlements, including such large ones as Loskutovka, Mirnaya Dolina, Ustinovka.
— At the same time, the Southern grouping of troops completed the defeat of the encircled AFU group in the "Gorsky Cauldron". Russian troops and units of the People's Militia of the LPR have liberated the settlements of Gorskoye and Zolotoye," said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that four Ukrainian battalions, a brigade artillery group, the formation of the "Right Sector" (the organization is banned in the Russian Federation) and a detachment of foreign mercenaries were surrounded in the Gorsky cauldron. From the total number reached up to two thousand people. Including "about 1,800 military personnel, 120 Nazis of the Right Sector, up to 80 foreign mercenaries; as well as more than 40 units of armored combat vehicles and about 80 guns and mortars," Igor Konashenkov reported earlier.
The Russian military department noted that, according to the captured Ukrainians, the surrounded Ukrainian group was exhausted. The staffing of the units was less than 40%. The management of the units by the higher Ukrainian command has been lost. The supply of weapons, ammunition, fuel and other material means has been completely stopped.
Things are not much better at the VFU in Lisichansk. The Ukrainian command, if it has not yet lost the ability to analyze the situation, and has retained at least some independence from Western curators, should immediately start troops from Lisichansk, military expert Vladislav Shurygin believes.
— Already now it will not be possible to do it organized, — he noted. — Ukrainian formations will have to throw a huge amount of equipment and heavy weapons. But such a development of events will at least allow them to keep trained people. The second option is that they may try to force the troops to fight in Lisichansk to the last. This will buy time, but we will see the same picture as in Mariupol. The boiler will close until the fuel and ammunition run out, they will run along its walls, and then the survivors will begin to surrender.

According to the expert, this will be a great ideological defeat for Ukraine, which will affect the mood in society and in the armed formations.
— This will be a big blow to the myth that everything is fine and under control at the front, — the expert believes.
In his opinion, in any case, the Ukrainian forces should retreat to the last line of defense of Donbass in the Area of Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Konstantinovka and try to gain a foothold there.
— There will be problems with this, — he noted. — Retreating soldiers are unlikely to be able to immediately bury themselves in the ground. Most likely, they will have to be taken to rest and reformation. Finding a combat—ready replacement for these units will be very difficult - this is another serious problem for the Ukrainian command.
200 "soldiers of fortune" were destroyed
The enemy is suffering significant losses in other areas as well. As a result of strikes by high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces on three locations of foreign mercenaries, more than 200 "soldiers of fortune" and up to 100 Ukrainian nationalists were destroyed, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
Desertion and refusal to participate in hostilities is becoming a mass phenomenon in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 30 servicemen of one of the battalions of the 25th Airborne Brigade voluntarily left their positions in the area of the settlement of Alexandropol in the DPR, throwing their personal weapons.
— The Ukrainian command is forced to form separate rifle battalions in each region from untrained, conscripted citizens to make up for the losses in manpower in the Donetsk and Lugansk directions," Konashenkov said.

On June 24, the Russian armed Forces continued to strike at the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit 367 areas of concentration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five ammunition depots, rocket and artillery weapons and materiel, as well as artillery and mortar units in 62 districts. In particular, an artillery battery of M777 howitzers was hit, the Ministry of Defense reported.

In total, as a result of the strikes, more than 620 nationalists, 19 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, as well as 17 special vehicles were destroyed.
Russian air defense units shot down two Su-25 aircraft, five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and five Tochka-U tactical missiles.
— In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 213 aircraft, 132 helicopters, 1,334 unmanned aerial vehicles, 350 anti—aircraft missile systems, 3,769 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 659 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 3002 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 3,835 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, - Igor listed Konashenkov.
Provocation at the plague cemetery
The armed formations of Ukraine continue to use civilian infrastructure for military purposes, Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation, said on June 24.
In Kharkiv, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense are stationed in the building of vocational school No. 33, and heavy equipment and artillery are located in the immediate vicinity of the educational institution. On Friday, the Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
Corporal Sergei Devushkin as part of the battalion tactical group took part in the battles to liberate the settlement. The car, which was driven by Sergey, came under heavy enemy fire.

Corporal Vladimir Golubchikov during a special military operation repeatedly removed equipment from under enemy artillery fire. In one of the flights, he found a group of saboteurs preparing an ambush on the route of the convoy. Having instantly oriented himself, he turned the car around, took an advantageous position and opened fire with small arms at the enemy.
— As a result of accurate fire, a group of nationalists was eliminated. When examining the positions of the nationalists, maps with mining areas marked on them were found," the military department noted.
Moving through the settlement, Sergeant Gleb Chubrik found two VFU firing positions in an old abandoned building. He correctly distributed subordinates and suddenly attacked the enemy.
During the clash, Sergeant Chubrik's squad destroyed more than 10 nationalists. There were no losses in the Russian division. The bold and decisive actions of Gleb Chubrik and his subordinates helped to liberate the settlement, the Defense Ministry noted.
Development of the CIS air defense
The 80th meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries took place in Moscow on June 25. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the existing format of the event makes it possible to expand the range of partnership within the CIS, as well as to make effective decisions in the interests of ensuring military security.
"Holding an in—person meeting underscores the importance of our meetings in a difficult military-political situation," the head of the Russian military department added.
At the meeting, they analyzed the state of aviation safety in the armed forces and agreed on the issues of financing the development of the unified air defense system. In addition, it was decided to form and prepare Joint humanitarian demining units.

The Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries also considered the development of a joint communication system of the armed forces and planned measures to improve the Unified System of state radar Identification.
— During the joint work, the military-political situation was analyzed in detail, including taking into account the special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, — said Sergei Shoigu.
He also added that the ways of further cooperation of the CIS countries in the field of defense and military security are outlined with colleagues from other countries.
The CIS defense ministers confirmed a common understanding of the nature of modern challenges and threats, the Russian military department noted.
