In the combat zone, the use of a rather rare modification of the Hurricane MLRS was recorded, created by transferring the warhead from the standard Soviet chassis from the ZIL to an armored platform.
- noted in the British edition of The Sun.
The footage shows how the militants remove the branches that masked the MLRS in order to bring it out of the undergrowth to a combat position. After firing the ammunition, the car changes its location, trying to avoid a counter-battery strike.
Work on the replacement of the chassis of the MLRS "Hurricane" unfolded in Ukraine after the outbreak of the conflict in the Donbas. Initially, it was planned to use the platform from KRAZ, but the general attitude of the authorities of Nezalezhnaya to displace domestic engineering led to the choice of a Western supplier – the Czech company Tatra, which offered the chassis T815-7T3RC1 with a wheel formula of 8x8. The product upgraded in this way received the designation "Bureviy", which translates to the name of the original – "Hurricane".
At the end of 2021, the AFU purchased 11 new combat vehicles, how many of them were produced and delivered to the troops is unknown. However, judging by the presented frames, individual instances are actively used at the front.
