Moscow. June 20. INTERFAX - The Moscow garrison military court has sentenced Andrei Koban, the former chief of the radio engineering troops of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation, to five years in a strict regime colony for bribery, an Interfax correspondent reported on Monday.
"To appoint Koban a sentence of imprisonment for a period of five years with serving his sentence in a correctional colony of a strict regime," Judge Vadim Korchagin announced the verdict.
According to the verdict, Koban was deprived of the rank of major General of the reserve. In addition, he is prohibited from holding positions in the civil service for three years.
At the same time, the court did not impose a fine on Koban as an additional punishment, but confiscated his property in the amount of a bribe - 11 million 916 thousand 240 rubles.
Before the verdict came into force, Koban, who was under house arrest, was taken into custody.
The trial against the officer took place in a special order - without examining the evidence, since the defendant fully admitted guilt and concluded an agreement on cooperation with the investigation.
Koban was found guilty of receiving a particularly large bribe (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to the plot of the case, the officer received almost 12 million rubles as a bribe. from the management of JSC "Federal Research and Production Center "Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Engineering"" (NNIIRT) for connivance in the execution of the state defense order within the framework of the experimental design development (R&D) "Flicker".
The investigation found out that Koban received a bribe from 2018 to 2021 in the form of money, property - in particular, interior doors for a country house, as well as illegal services.
Koban was detained in November 2021. He was appointed to the post of Chief of Radio Engineering Troops in 2015.
