Pumping Ukraine with weapons leads to a confrontation between the United States and Russia, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov believes. He stated this in an article on the pages of the American magazine Newsweek.
According to the Russian diplomat, the American elites, in their desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, are increasingly pumping Kiev with weapons and this shows their shortsightedness. Such a policy leads to a direct military confrontation between the nuclear-weapon States, which can lead to unpredictable consequences.
Antonov also announced the failure of American plans to strangle Russia through sanctions. According to the ambassador, the United States is only aggravating its economic situation with anti-Russian measures.
In an article in Newsweek magazine, the Russian ambassador noted the decline of the American-centric model of the world order, which caused the current crisis.
