In Ukraine, the problems that arise with foreign-made weapons delivered to the country are increasingly being voiced. First of all, we are talking about the problems with heavy weapons that are supplied to Ukraine. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Sharapov shares his "feelings" about this with foreign reporters.
According to him, the situation is such that, on average, every third M777 howitzer supplied by the United States is allocated for repair after the first artillery duel.
Sharapov complains that the guns have to be withdrawn from the front line due to the fact that they receive damage that does not allow the calculations to safely operate these howitzers. In particular, we are talking about the damage caused by shell fragments fired from the artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republican People's Militia.

Earlier, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine complained that it is often not possible to repair weapons supplied by the West in Ukraine itself. There are no spare parts, consumables, repair kits. It was reported about the withdrawal of damaged NATO military equipment from the territory of Ukraine to Poland.
Recall that the adviser to the head of Zelensky's office, Podolyak, said a few days ago that Ukraine needed about 1,000 artillery pieces (M777 and analogues) "for a counteroffensive." In the British press, commenting on this request, it was noted that the United States itself has less than 1,000 M777 howitzers.
