TSAMTO, June 17. A regular meeting of the working group under the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers on electronic warfare (EW) was held in Yerevan on June 16.
Representatives of the military departments of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan (via video conference) and the Joint Staff of the CSTO took part in the event chaired by the Chief of the Electronic Warfare Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yuri Lastochkin.
During the meeting on the improvement of electronic warfare components of Troops (Collective forces) All members of the working group representing the national armed forces spoke to the CSTO.
A report on the features of electronic warfare in modern armed conflicts was made by the representative of the Department of Electronic Warfare of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Vladlen Zybin.
The head of the Department of Planning the use of Troops (Collective Forces) brought information about the status of the basic educational and methodological and research organizations of the CSTO in the field of electronic warfare CSTO – Deputy Head of the Center for Planning the Use and Training of Troops (Collective Forces) CSTO Joint Staff of the CSTO Lieutenant General Anatoly Yakovlev.
The members of the working group discussed the issues of using the scientific-theoretical, scientific-research and scientific-practical potentials of military training and research centers in the interests of the development of electronic warfare forces and means in the armed forces of the CSTO member states, as well as the prospects for training military specialists in electronic warfare of the armed forces of the CSTO member states in educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, reports the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
