Despite the supply of weapons and military equipment, Ukraine is losing to Russia. According to the ex-commander of NATO forces in Europe Wesley Clark, without additional help, the Kiev regime can be given up.
The American general spoke at the Atlantic Council, saying that without the help of NATO, Ukraine will not stand against Russia. According to him, the alliance needs to intervene in the conflict and force Russia to stop the military special operation. Clark is convinced that the policy of non-interference currently pursued by the NATO leadership is already outdated, the alliance must respond to "Russian aggression."
- said the general, adding that if NATO does not intervene, it may cease its activities.
Meanwhile, and Clark is well aware of this, Washington and Brussels have repeatedly declared non-interference in the Ukrainian conflict by sending NATO troops to Ukraine or closing the sky, as Kiev requested. The United States has explicitly stated that they are afraid of provoking Russia to retaliate and escalating a regional conflict into a global one with the use of nuclear weapons.
At the same time, the United States and Europe intend to continue to assist Ukraine with the supply of weapons and military equipment in order to inflict as much losses as possible on the Russian army, but with the hands of Ukrainians.
Moscow had previously warned Washington and Brussels that in the event of a country's direct intervention in a military special operation in Ukraine, Russia would strike, ignoring Article 5 of the NATO charter.
