The United States will provide Ukraine with intelligence information about the targets that will be hit by long-range MLRS. This was stated by the deputy head of the Pentagon for Political Affairs, Colin Kohl.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Defense, in order for the Armed Forces of Ukraine not to waste high-precision high-power ammunition supplied by the West MLRS for secondary purposes, the United States will provide Kiev with information about priority targets for installations. Col stressed that the use of MLRS ammunition is comparable to the use of aviation missiles, so the United States will provide information about the targets on Ukrainian territory that the APU will choose.
- the American official said, confirming that Ukraine will receive four wheeled MLRS HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) in the first delivery. In the future, the United States will transfer some more complexes to Kiev. Also, the M270 MLRS and MARS II MLRS will be transferred to the United Kingdom and Germany.
As the Pentagon representative stressed, the United States does not set itself the task of changing the existing system in Russia, Washington's main goal is to prevent Russia from winning in Ukraine by punishing it for a military operation against Kiev.
