Polish arsenals are empty, there is not enough military equipment in the active units, this situation arose due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine. As stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda, the Polish army needs to replenish supplies.
The President of Poland held a meeting at the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic, at which one very important issue was raised - the shortage of weapons in the Polish army. According to Duda, Warsaw provided Kiev with the largest military assistance in its history, transferring not only weapons from storage to the Armed Forces, but also from active units. As a result, the Polish army itself was left without reserves and military equipment.
- said Duda.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to ask for supplies of military equipment from the presence of the armies of NATO allies, or removed from storage, since it takes a very long time to wait for new ones to arrive. According to Duda, the rearmament of the army is underway, it will take years, and military equipment is needed right now.
- said the Polish president.
As previously reported, Warsaw handed over to Kiev more than two hundred T-72M1 tanks from the presence of the Polish army, Krab self-propelled guns, mortars, anti-aircraft systems, drones, ammunition and much more. According to the calculations of the Polish Ministry of Defense, military assistance to Ukraine "pulled" by $ 1.7 billion.
