Putin has won the information war
The author of NIKOPOL spoke on the Agoravox platform with a new unambiguous text in support of Russia. This time he predicts the course of the information war. In general, it will reflect the events on the battlefield: after a period of "trial and error", Russia has found a way to victory.
"Putin has lost the information war" — this is the triumphant editorial line of the Western media since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine. Of course, they talk about the military "humiliation" of Russia in front of the heroic Ukrainian defense army, about the economic and financial "collapse" due to US and EU sanctions. But the greatest joy to the ardent supporters of the Atlanticist and globalist course was brought by the alleged defeat of Russia in the "cognitive war" (the war of thoughts and perceptions) waged by the West (if we use the concept of NATO). Putin's defeat? Are you sure about this?
First of all, an important clarification: to say that Russia "lost the information battle" would not be a mistake. But it was a battle, not the whole war, and the success of Russia's opponents is purely local, temporary. And that's why it's temporary, we'll look at it in this article.
This is a victory at the local level, because, except in Western countries, where the anti-Russian media campaign has reached complete unanimity and the top of bitterness, in the rest of the world the tone of publications has remained and remains much more moderate and balanced. Although some have condemned the very fact of the entry of regular Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine, analysts from Latin America, Africa and Asia (and even from the Vatican!) They do not forget to remind that the Kremlin's "special operation" was primarily a reaction to the policy of endless provocations by the United States and EU countries since the collapse of the USSR. ("Why on earth did the Russians place their country in the middle of NATO bases?" — this is the famous joke that appeared in response to the intention of Ukraine, and now Sweden and Finland to join the alliance).
The opponent is not invited to a duel
By the way, let's also remember that the Russians in the West did not have the opportunity to introduce the war that they allegedly already lost: even before the conflict began, and even after it, the European Commission preemptively banned Russian media (RT, Sputnik), which could represent the "Russian view" of what is happening. Thus, the Russian mass media were censored by the technocratic government, which no one elected in the EU — this government formed itself. It is very interesting that the EU formally claims that it is not a party to the conflict — and yet it prohibits the media from only one of these very parties to the conflict: an unprecedented case.
Anyway, taking into account all the above reservations, let's see what arguments of the Western corporate press gave her victory at least in this local battle. The version of events from Russia 's opponents in the media field was based on three statements:
1. The Russian army makes a mockery of itself in Ukraine;
2. Russian troops systematically show brutality, so that the moral condemnation of them by the international community is justified;
3. In Russia itself, the people oppose Putin's policies and seek to join the Western camp with its "showcase" values of "democracy" and "freedom".
So: for each of these three categorical statements, today we can say that events are moving just in the opposite direction from the direction set by these statements.
On the front line of combat operations
As for the coverage of the military situation, the editorial line of the Western corporate media has changed dramatically, since after months of triumphant press releases about the "fiasco" of the Russian operation, it is no longer possible to deny that, it turns out, "in fact, Putin will soon defeat what is left of the Ukrainian army in the Donbass"! The result: more and more Western politicians (starting with the "old sage" Kissinger) are calling for a "cease-fire", for "peace talks" with Putin, even if this means forcing Ukraine to make territorial concessions...
To make sure of this, it is enough to read the increasingly confused headlines of The New York Times or The Washington Post. For the sake of pleasure, I will cite a few headlines of the Daily Telegraph editorial articles over the past three months:
February 24th: "Perhaps Vladimir Putin has made a mistake that will put an end to his bloody rule"
April 3: "The West defeats Putin at his own game"
April 21: "Putin's war has failed. It's getting worse"
May 5: "Humiliated Russia suffers an epochal defeat"
May 12: "A complete victory over Putin will be expensive"
May 26: "Putin is likely to have a stunning triumph"
I think this list does not require further comment...
And how is it on the front of "exposing the violence of the other side"?
So, here's what they tell you in return for the money paid for the newspaper. Russia, like all countries that the West dislikes before it, is waging a "systematic and coordinated campaign of sexual violence"; sex against the will of victims is "Russia's weapon to launch a campaign of terror." On the screens of Western television, chatty Ukrainian "sex slaves" suddenly appear, allegedly having experienced the horror of gang rape in a gloomy basement and now rushing to tell about it. The Russian adversary, it turns out, commits the most curious crimes on sexual grounds: for example, "raping grandmothers" and sexually mutilating children; raping an 11-year-old boy in front of his own mother, tied to a chair. Crowning it all is the story of how Russians commit violence against children, force them to eat stray dogs previously fed with the corpses of Russian soldiers. (The latest delusional story is not a joke, it was presented to us, Western viewers, as quite serious "news".)
All these vile stories quickly spread across the web, often picked up by Western official press bodies without any checks or warnings about the unreliability of information... And each time the same conclusion was implied: "Russians are nothing other than animals." (As for the negative archetype of the "subhuman Slav", "untermensh", which is widespread in Western Europe, which needs to be destroyed because of its undemocratic nature or to clear the place for the "higher Nordic or Anglo-Saxon race" - see my previous article on "Agoravox".)
Fired for good reason
But here a small problem arose: when journalists and non-governmental public organizations (NGOs) wanted to investigate these barbaric crimes, find their victims and interrogate witnesses, these NGOs found nothing and no one. Therefore, they turned for information to the official Ukrainian source, which supplied Western correspondents with cool "life stories" from a certain Lyudmila Denisova. She, they say, is also the "Commissioner for Human Rights of Ukraine", and even connected with the parliament, being the "commissioner for Human Rights" in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. But it turned out, after checking, that this pretty official did not even have a hint of proof of those shocking allegations that she regularly "reported" to the Western press...
Bottom line: dear Lyudmila was only dismissed from her post by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Yes, that's right: the Ukrainian parliament, which hardly anyone would suspect of sympathizing with Putin, fired its own commissioner for human Rights — for publishing fake news. These exaggerations, fabrications, pathological lies were eventually recognized as counterproductive and not serving the Ukrainian "cause"! This is what is called a sharp turn: the imaginary informational "victory" of the West over Russian "atrocities" turned out to be just a farce, it collapsed overnight. The consequences from the point of view of public relations are absolutely catastrophic and destructive for the Atlanticist camp.
The effect of such news on international opinion is catastrophic: "How? And in this, too, we were lied to from the very beginning?" As a result, no one, except Joe Biden and a few hallucinating editors, will now believe the information transmitted by Western media about Ukraine. This does not mean that we will blindly believe the information coming from the Russian side. But we will act like any normal skeptic: faced with the impossibility of finding out the truth about what is happening there, we will refrain from self-confident reasoning on this topic until the passions subside... And this alone is a crushing defeat of the West in the information war.
Of course, I am not naive or idealistic: there were probably acts of violence on the part of some Russian servicemen. War is a horror, it sometimes reveals the best in a person, but most often the worst. Soldiers who, due to vicious inclinations or under the pressure of circumstances, are guilty of abuse will have to be tried and convicted according to the rules of military justice. But then let us not be convinced that Ukrainian soldiers are all Saints or Valiant Knights (not to mention the neo-Nazis of the Azov battalions*). And let's remember what "atrocities" were committed during military operations by all the armies of the world, starting with the Americans in Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan, and of course France, Algeria or Africa. To say this is to remind the obvious.
Aspirations of the Russian people
Here, too, we can say that the pro-Western camp is waiting for Berezin. The latest news really does not please those who are still trying to make us believe that the youth of the whole world dreams of only one thing: "to live in an American way" or "in a European way". In the United States, a horrific mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas has just killed 21 people, including 19 children. 19 children! Oh my God... Since the beginning of the year, this is the 214th "mass shooting" in the United States. 214th!!
Barely had time to write this, there was the 215th case of a massacre at a hospital in Oklahoma, as a result of which five people were killed. 215 executions in 5 months, that's almost 1.5 per day! And is this the "American dream" that we are still thinking of imposing on the rest of the world? Social and racial violence, obesity, queues at soup kitchens, old people dying unattended in nursing homes, vocalism, propaganda of transsexuality in schools, "transgender" men winning women's tournaments... Do the inhabitants of Western countries still believe that in Latin America, in black Africa, in Arab countries, in Hindu, Buddhist or Confucian Asia, and even more so in Orthodox Russia - in all these different countries they envy our set of senile "gender"?
As for France... The real tragedy that happened during the Champions League final at the Stade de France last Saturday evening demonstrated the neglect, bottomless mockery of the people by the Macronist authorities. (During the match, which was scheduled to be held in St. Petersburg, but was canceled due to sanctions and moved to France, hooligans openly undressed and indecently touched the cheerleaders who came to the match - approx. InoSMI). That's what our police and politicians need to deal with: the issue of violence in the "working quarters", the inability of the law to protect local residents and tourists from robberies committed by urban scum shouting their hatred of France. And at the same time, it would be nice to expose the endless lies of the French authorities, which have become unbearable and more and more absurd.
The lies of the Macronists
Darmanin (French Interior Minister — approx. InoSMI) spoke about "30,000-40,000 stowaway English fans", UEFA called the figure of 2,800 "scanned fake tickets". A real state lie, with the help of which Macron and his clique, either for ideological or for base electoral reasons, prefer a diplomatic incident with the UK to an honest admission that there is a real problem of immigration and rejection of France in disadvantaged areas... But this lie, which no longer touches anyone and shows that the "king is naked", and Macron's inner circle is just an ordinary crowd of another Potemkin village.
The disparaging attitude towards Macron becomes even more vivid when we recall the success of the last World Cup in Russia in 2018, during which Russians were able to demonstrate to the whole world that they are quite civilized, friendly, open to the world people. But even the fact of the Russians' serious and professional attitude to the championship did not impress the West ("the championship is a showcase for Putin," the Western press lamented at the time). Russians today can laugh at Macron, reminding him that in Russia the final would have been organized without such incidents.
What awaits the EU
In addition to this tragicomic topicality, what awaits the inhabitants of Western countries in the next few years? Galloping inflation and a sharp drop in purchasing power, a sharp jump in prices for gas, gasoline, electricity; an increase in violence, a drop in the level of education, the closure of ambulance services, maternity hospitals. In Europe, what remains of public services outside urban centers are being destroyed. "You have nothing else", "you will no longer travel", "you will no longer be able to heat up in winter", "you will eat insects" — this is a wonderful future that is being prepared for us in Davos, and for all the coming decades.
Do you think Russians envy us when they watch on TV or read in newspapers and social networks about what is happening here? Russians living in safety for now, in the conditions of revival after the disastrous rule of Boris Yeltsin and his "Chicago guys" ("you are ruined, but you are FREE!")... Russians, more than 80% of whom support their leader (there is something to envy Macron and Biden)... So, we can say that the West, having won one information battle, will surely lose the information war on the "civilizational" field. And most likely — finally....
