MOSCOW, June 13 - RIA Novosti. Calculation of the Russian multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Smerch" destroyed a Ukrainian warehouse with ammunition and equipment, the corresponding video was published on Monday by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The footage shows the advance of a combat vehicle to a firing position, guidance and topography, clarification of the coordinates of the target, preparation of missiles for launch and the salvo launch of three missiles at the target. Further, the drone footage recorded the defeat of an object used by Ukrainian troops as a warehouse.
"According to intelligence data, the AFU units have concentrated ammunition, military equipment and weapons to supply the grouping of their troops. The data of the scouts were confirmed by technical means of reconnaissance, after which the multiple launch rocket systems unit struck the warehouses," the Defense Ministry said.
As the head of the calculation of the MLRS "Smerch" Ivan told, the calculation has only a few minutes to complete the task.
"After the launch, we have two minutes to roll up and leave the position. We have to change starting positions every time. We have to be re-guided, re-attached. The terrain changes every time – and this is also the specifics of our work," he said.
During the special operation, the Smerch MLRS divisions destroy particularly important objects of the enemy's military infrastructure: command posts, warehouses with weapons, ammunition and fuel and lubricants (fuels and lubricants), communication centers, air defense (air defense) and other priority military targets located at a great distance.
