It should be noted that on May 24, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin announced the delivery of the Harpoon missile defense system to Kiev following the results of the second meeting of the special contact group on military assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, it was reported that Denmark would supply an unnamed number of missiles and one ground-based installation for their launch.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States is considering the option of supplying Ukraine with anti-ship missile systems Harpoon and NSM in coastal design to "protect the coast." Zelensky and his entourage have been begging for anti-ship missiles from the West for a very long time, justifying their requests with the danger of a naval landing that Russia could land.
