TSAMTO, June 9. On June 8, the International Military Scientific Conference dedicated to the improvement of the Unified Communications System and automated command and control systems of Troops (Collective Forces) was held for the first time in Moscow at the International Military Center CSTO.
The conference was attended by representatives of the defense departments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, the Joint Staff and the Secretariat of the CSTO, the Secretariat of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states, military educational and military scientific organizations, as well as industry under the overall leadership of the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov.
Addressing the participants of the conference, the head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, noted that "the most important direction of the development of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is the improvement of the system of interstate information interaction and the system of command and control of Troops (Collective Forces) The CSTO, the technical basis of which is the communication system. The experience of the peacekeeping operation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, annual joint exercises shows the need to coordinate the efforts of the CSTO member states on the creation and development of a communication system."
The head of the Department of Communications and Automated Control Systems of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel Vitaly Kenyakin, made a report on the topic: "The appearance of the CSTO communication system. A component of the CSTO communication system designed to provide information exchange of the CSTO Crisis Response Center. State and prospects of development". He noted that the Joint Staff, in cooperation with the defense and other interested ministries and departments of the Organization's member states, developed and approved by the CSTO Collective Security Council a Scheme for the CSTO secure multiservice communication network, developed a draft Regulation on the CSTO communication system, which defines the purpose, tasks and requirements for the Organization's communication system, as well as draft Recommendations on communication organizations in the components of the Troops (Collective Forces) The CSTO, which are proposed to be tested during joint exercises in 2022.
The conference participants heard reports from the Chief of the Communications Troops – Head of the Communications and Automated Control System of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Temur Shakhnazaryan, Chief of Communications of the Armed Forces - Head of the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Major General Oleg Mishchenko, Deputy Head of the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Daulet Arenov, First Deputy Chief The Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major General Valery Tishkov and the Deputy head of the Military Academy of Communications, Colonel Viktor Romanov.
During the conference, an exhibition of exhibits of leading representatives of the defense industry in the field of communications was organized. Samples of communication equipment and software planned for use in the CSTO communication system were presented by JSC "Informtechnika Group of Companies", LLC "Factor-TS", JSC "Information Implementation Company", JSC "Scientific and Production Association Angstrom" and LLC "Teleport-Montazh".
The event made it possible to discuss the results of research on the functioning of the communication system and automated control systems during joint operational and combat training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the collective security system of the CSTO, as well as to outline ways to improve this area, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
