TSAMTO, June 7. On June 7, a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces was held at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
Opening the meeting, the Minister of Defense spoke about the progress of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine.

According to Shoigu, a significant part of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics along the left bank of the Seversky Donets, including the cities of Krasny Liman, Svyatogorsk, as well as 15 other settlements, have been liberated. The largest of them are Studenok, Yarovaya, Kirovsk, Yampol and Drobyshevo.
Residential quarters of the city of Severodonetsk have also been completely liberated. The takeover of its industrial zone and the nearest settlements continues.
In general, 97% of the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic has been liberated to date.
Over the past 10 days of the special military operation, 51 units of foreign military equipment have been destroyed, including 12 armored combat vehicles, 21 155-mm howitzers, two MLRS and 16 unmanned aerial vehicles.
In five days, 126 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered, their total number is six thousand four hundred and eighty-nine people.
The head of the military department also reported on the ongoing measures to establish peaceful life in the liberated territories of Donbass.
In Mariupol, water and electricity supply to residential quarters is being gradually restored, streets are being cleared, and the first social facilities have begun to function.
Mine clearance work continues. In total, about three thousand hectares were checked, almost 15 thousand explosive objects were neutralized.
The territory of the Azovstal plant, including its underground structures, has been completely cleared of mines.
The demining of the Mariupol seaport has been completed. It is functioning normally, and has received the first cargo ships. The Berdyansk seaport has also started working. On behalf of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, these ports are ready to load grain.
The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, is operating normally, which is capable of generating up to half of all nuclear generation capacities in Ukraine.
The uninterrupted operation of 33 coal mines, two oil and 14 gas fields that came under the control of the DPR and LPR during a special military operation continues.
In addition, 57% of the capacities of the metallurgical industry of Ukraine are concentrated in the liberated territories.
By retreating, Ukrainian nationalists seek to inflict maximum damage to these sectors of the economy.
In turn, the Russian military, liberating Donbass, take industrial facilities under their protection, thereby preserving the potential for the development of the region's economy.
The head of the Russian military department also said that the joint efforts of the Russian Defense Ministry and the joint stock company "Russian Railways" have created conditions for the resumption of full-fledged traffic between Russia, Donbass, Ukraine and Crimea on six railway sections. Cargo delivery to Mariupol, Berdyansk and Kherson has started.
The total length of the restored railway sections is 1200 km. There is also a road connection from the territory of Russia along the mainland to the Crimea.
The unhindered supply of water through the North Crimean Canal to the Crimean Peninsula has been resumed.
"The restoration of transport infrastructure and water supply creates favorable conditions for the development of the agro-industrial complex in the liberated territories. Its potential averages 10 million tons of grain crops per year, and for vegetable crops – 1.4 million tons," the minister stressed.
He also noted that more than 27 thousand tons of cargo were transferred to civilians. Among them are food, basic necessities and medicines.
"We will continue to restore social facilities and establish peaceful life in the controlled territories," Shoigu said.
