Moscow. June 7. INTERFAX - The total number of captured Ukrainian servicemen has reached 6,489, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"In five days, 126 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered, their total number is six thousand four hundred and eighty-nine people," Shoigu said, speaking about the interim results of the special military operation. He said that over the past ten days, 51 units of military equipment that arrived in Ukraine from abroad have been destroyed.
"Including 12 armored combat vehicles, twenty-one 155-millimeter howitzers, two MLRS and 16 unmanned aerial vehicles," Shoigu said.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine.
In response, many countries have imposed sanctions against Russia. A number of countries supply weapons to the Ukrainian army.
