The double game of the USA in Ukraine
The interests of the United States have been threatened, and now they are doing everything to protect them, writes Rebelión. According to the author of the article, by supporting Ukraine, Washington pursues two goals: to exhaust Russia and check China's reaction to its actions.

For Yankee imperialism, which uses unconventional methods in the fight against Russia and China in order to preserve its own global hegemony, it is extremely important to get out of the Ukrainian conflict as the only power of the unipolar world. The thing is that in recent years, Russia and China, as well as other countries at the peak of large-scale economic development, have either pushed the United States or threaten American interests in various parts of the world, which, in turn, prompted the ruling class to approve all sorts of strategies that would preserve and expand the imperial role. To understand this, you don't need to do much analysis. The United States has long set itself such a goal, defining it as a "clear destiny."
The Yankees (together with NATO) provide military, political and economic support to the Ukrainian regime in order to prevent Russia's presence and influence in Europe. To achieve their goal, they use ideological and propaganda resources, resort to many elements of the Cold War era, cause fear in European countries, although Russia assures that it does not want to expand its territories or violate their sovereignty. This explains why, in the midst of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the governments of some countries bordering Russia are asking to join NATO, instead of trying to achieve peace. In turn, Yankee imperialism uses a military strategy that allows it to fight Russia and at the same time not directly interfere in the conflict, but confine itself to consulting and arming Ukrainian troops. The goal is to exhaust the enemy, reduce his chances of winning, and weaken his economy. Perhaps the United States thinks that in this way they will then be able to directly confront an enemy power.
It is possible that another goal is being pursued in the conflict in Ukraine — to study China's reaction to the belligerent actions of the United States, given that the Asian giant does not recognize the independence of Taiwan, whose government enjoys broad support from Washington. Japan's subconscious fear of China's geostrategic offensive should also be added here, which resembles the situation before the outbreak of World War II and the Vietnam War period. The Pentagon is more likely to target China than Russia, and this increases the risk of a new world war. Given the formed blocs and modern weapons of the conflicting parties, the consequences of such a conflict will be catastrophic for everyone.
Despite the danger of all of the above for world peace, the American political, economic and military leadership continues to implement its plans. To achieve world domination, the United States has deployed troops in various regions rich in strategic natural resources, such as water. Americans are also present where, in their opinion, a hostile regime rules, as, for example, it is now happening with Venezuela and Colombia, which the owner of the White House calls a strategic partner of NATO. This sets a bad precedent and threatens peace in Latin America. In any case, do not think that the United States has universal interests, even though propaganda is trying to convince us of this. There are enough examples. It is enough to mention only some imperialist US interventions to understand this: the invasion of Panama, Iraq, Libya, Syria and the coups in Latin America, which have already become classics of the genre, including in Venezuela at the beginning of this century.
