The Ukrainian authorities, with the financial support of the United Kingdom, removed a fake in the Mykolaiv region about the battle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with allegedly numerically superior Russian troops, said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

"To make the future picture more dramatic, at the insistence of the British curators, a "reconstruction" of the never—existing "battle" of the Ukrainian Nazis with the outnumbered "Russian servicemen" was created on the set," Konashenkov said.
The roles of the "opponents" of the Ukrainian Nazis in the staged short film were performed by members of the local territorial defense unit wearing red armbands, in the absence of captured Russian equipment, the "conditional enemy" appears in the frame on Ukrainian armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles, the general said.
Konashenkov noted that "the next filming of the videos is planned for June 5 and 6. In them, "ordinary Ukrainians" will accuse Russia of deliberately shelling civilian infrastructure.
Russia has been conducting a military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
According to the Ministry of Defense, by the end of March, the Russian army had completed the main tasks of the first stage — it significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main purpose of the operation in the department called the liberation of Donbass.
