In order to equip the military from the United States and other NATO allies of Warsaw with weapons and equipment, Poland has begun construction of an armory for the US army. It is expected to complete the construction of the facility in 2024.
This was reported to the press by the head of the Ministry of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak.
Today we are starting the implementation of the investment, which will be completed in April 2024
- said the Polish Defense Minister.
The work is being carried out in the city of Povidze, where a combat battalion group of the US Armed Forces will be located in the future.

Blashchak noted that this year the builders will erect a warehouse for storing military equipment. According to the Minister, the creation of the facility will allow for the prompt provision of weapons and necessary equipment to allied units, which, if necessary, can come to the aid of the Polish Army.

The head of the Defense Department said that Warsaw, the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance are allocating funds for the construction. He noted that an impressive American contingent of about 12 thousand military personnel is based on Polish territory.
Earlier, the US official representative in Warsaw, Marek Brzezinski, stated that in order to strengthen combat readiness over the next decade, the Americans plan to build more than a hundred defense facilities in Poland.
