On May 31, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the combat work of calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Grad" at night while performing firing tasks to destroy the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during a special operation to protect Donbass.
After receiving data from the means of artillery reconnaissance and calculations of the unmanned aerial vehicle, the Grad MLRS battery carries out the promotion, occupation of the firing position and striking at the identified enemy firing positions. Then the battery leaves the firing position, recharges and moves to a new position to strike at newly identified targets.
It is noted that during the strike on the positions of the AFU at night, the gunners of the Western Military District destroyed a strong point and the position of enemy artillery guns.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of the work of combat crews of artillery units of Airborne troops. An artillery battery of 122 mm D-30 howitzers took up a position and struck the firing position of the APU mortars. The airborne troops destroyed the firing positions of the mortars, as well as military equipment and enemy defenses.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are denazification and demilitarization of the Kiev regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, the Kremlin said.
