The negative attitude of the Italian population to the intervention in the Ukrainian conflict forced Rome to classify military supplies for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, only once at the front, the Italian combat systems fall into the hands of Russian fighters or become targets when the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation strikes.

As indicated, during the retreat of the AFU units, they almost always leave behind a rich arsenal of Western weapons, in particular Italian – 120 mm mortar ammunition, 7.62 caliber cartridges for MG42 machine guns and Milan anti-tank missiles - "all the surplus of the Italian army transferred to the Ukrainians and then fell into the hands of the enemy."
