Russian Defense Ministry: Kiev is preparing a provocation with chemical weapons in Sumy

MOSCOW, May 28/ Radio Sputnik. According to information from Ukrainian prisoners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they plan to stage a provocation in Sumy with the use of toxic substances in order to further blame Russia for this, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"According to information received from captured Ukrainian servicemen, in the city of Sumy, militants of nationalist battalions are preparing another provocation with the use of toxic substances," the Telegram channel of the department notes.

In particular, the neo-Nazis plan to fire at the border territory of the Russian Federation from a residential area of Sumy, provoking the Russian military to retaliate, and then blow up containers with chemically dangerous substances. Journalists of foreign news agencies work in Sumy to shoot these events.

"At the same time, if earlier, during the preparation of such monstrous provocations, the civilian population was withdrawn from the area of the planned infection, now, in order to obtain the "maximum resonance", evacuation of citizens is not carried out," the Defense Ministry stressed.

The ministry warned Western countries and international humanitarian organizations that Kiev plans to widely distribute the upcoming fakes about the "atrocities of the Russians" in the near future through Ukrainian and Western media, as well as on various Internet resources and media platforms.

Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that the Russian Defense Ministry warned about the provocation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with chemicals in Lisichansk.
