Ukrainian gunners received self-propelled towed howitzers FH70 caliber 155 millimeters. Artillery systems were supplied by Italy, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
It is noted that Ukrainian units use the received guns, which were first adopted in 1978, in battles. The firing range of standard ammunition is 24 kilometers. The calculation of eight people provides a rate of fire of up to six rounds per minute.
The development of the FH70 began in 1969. Specialists from the UK, Germany and Italy worked on the project. The howitzer received a Volkswagen auxiliary power plant, which allows the gun to move independently at a speed of up to 16 kilometers per hour.
Earlier, The Drive edition admitted that Ukraine could receive decommissioned anti-ship missiles from Denmark as part of military assistance.
In April, the military observer of Izvestia, Anton Lavrov, said about the Soviet tactical missile complexes "Tochka-U", which are the longest-range weapons of the Ukrainian military.
