Ukraine is still likely to receive long-range multiple rocket launchers, Washington is preparing to include MLRS in the list of new military assistance. This information is distributed by CNN with reference to sources in the Biden administration.
According to available information, an increase in the package of military assistance and the inclusion of MLRS in it will be announced next week. Other details have not yet been disclosed. At the same time, CNN notes that Kiev has long demanded from Washington the supply of long-range jet systems capable, in the opinion of the Kiev regime, of "changing the rules of the game", since American MLRS are significantly superior in range to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Reuters reports that Washington is still afraid to transfer long-range systems to Ukraine because of the risk of using them on Russian territory. At the same time, the Americans do not impose any restrictions on weapons transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the agency, the United States and Ukraine held a number of consultations, during which the risks of escalation of the conflict in the event of strikes on the territory of Russia were brought to Kiev.
