DONETSK, May 26 – RIA Novosti. Some friendly countries have already agreed to participate in the tribunal for the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"The task is to make the international tribunal as open as possible, as transparent as possible, so that no one has any doubts about its conduct. And no one has any doubts about the correctness of certain decisions of the international tribunal that will be taken. Therefore, we will invite absolutely everyone, including representatives of Western countries. And whether they get involved in this process or not, it's up to them to make decisions. Of course, some friendly countries have already agreed in advance. I won't announce the list of countries yet, but in my opinion, some of them are already obvious," he said.
According to Pushilin, "as soon as all the documents are already registered, as soon as the statute of the international tribunal is already registered, then the information will be public."
Earlier, the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova told RIA Novosti that the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the republic is collecting evidence of crimes committed by armed formations of Ukraine, which will be used in a military tribunal over Ukrainian militants.
In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, which declared independence after the coup in Kiev in February 2014. The issue of resolving the situation in Donbass was discussed, among other things, during the meetings of the contact group. However, even after the armistice agreements, skirmishes continued, in the DPR they announced the shelling of residential areas by Ukrainian heavy artillery. Moscow has repeatedly stated that Kiev did not comply with the Minsk agreements and delayed negotiations on the settlement of the conflict, and against this background, equipment was transferred from NATO to the borders of the Russian Federation.
In February of this year, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." To do this, according to him, it is planned to carry out "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine", to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for "bloody crimes against civilians" of Donbass. According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces are striking only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, on March 25 they completed the main tasks of the first stage – they significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
