As follows from the video sequence, in the process of carrying out combat duty, the Central Military District found air targets identified as Bayraktar TB2 attack unmanned aerial vehicles.
As a result of competent actions, the strike drones in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine were taken on escort and destroyed.
Earlier, on May 23, Izvestia correspondent Yaroslav Bogat observed the work of air defense units during a special military operation to protect Donbass. It allows real-time detection, capture, and tracking of aerial targets of all types and all classes, ranging from unmanned aerial vehicles to ballistic missiles.
On the eve of the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov said that over the past day, Russian air defense systems shot down 11 Ukrainian drones in the air in the settlements of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. Two Ukrainian multiple rocket launchers "Smerch" were also intercepted.
On May 20, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also demonstrated footage of multi-purpose attack helicopters Mi-28 and reconnaissance attack helicopters Ka-52. After firing six unguided missiles at the enemy coordinates indicated by intelligence, the Mi-28 crews return to recharge. As a result of the next combat missions, control points and armored vehicles of the AFU units were destroyed. Crews work in shifts around the clock.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are denazification and demilitarization of the Kiev regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, the Kremlin said.
