US intrigues in NATO
The United States uses NATO in its imperialist interests, the Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet writes. The author of the article is sure that Washington deliberately exposes defenseless countries to the risk of military clashes, luring them into the alliance.
Mehmet Ali Guller
Michael McFaul, who worked as the US ambassador to Moscow from 2012 to 2014, commented on the likelihood of Ukraine joining NATO during the Munch Debate.
The former American ambassador said that in recent years Russia was concerned about the expansion of the alliance to the east, but the United States still supported Ukraine. When he was asked the question: "In 2021, our diplomats tried their best to convince Ukraine that it would be able to join NATO, did they lie?" — McFaul, laughing, replied: "Yes, that's real life!"
These words of the ambassador became another first-hand recognition of how the United States threw Ukraine into the fire.
Zelensky's mission
Famous Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus this time talked with former US President Bush Jr., introducing themselves as President of Ukraine Zelensky.
Lzhezelensky asks the American ex-leader: "Moscow claims that James Baker, who was Secretary of state during your father's presidency, promised Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 that NATO would not expand eastward. Is this statement true?"
Bush Jr. gave the following answer: "Listen, times are changing. Baker was Secretary of state under my father, that was many years ago. This means that the United States must flexibly adjust to the time. And that is why we are now trying to support your country."
Further, the prankers ask: "... about the self-determination of the DPR and the LPR, the regions occupied by Russia on the eastern side. Putin is trying to show that this is the same case as with Kosovo, remember, then, in 2007, you recognized Kosovo as an independent state, and he used the same methods." The ex-president is confused at first, and then responds: "When you win, many of these issues will disappear from the agenda."
In addition, Bush Jr. reminds Zelensky of his "mission": "And your mission is to destroy as many Russian troops as possible. It is very important for the United States to continue to lead this movement and help Ukraine achieve its goals."
The Mitsotakis Trap for Greece
Another country that cannot learn lessons from history and the imperialist policy of "exploitation" is Greece...
Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis literally laid his country at the feet of the United States by signing an agreement with them in the field of defense. It is worth paying attention to the assumptions that Mitsotakis was promised the post of the next Secretary General of NATO.
The United States received bases in addition to the existing ones, and also spread across the country from north to south, to the Court base on the island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea.
Now the Athens administration sees Washington's patronage as a trump card against Ankara and actually allows the United States to throw Greece into the fire to implement Washington's future plans...
The historical mistake of Sweden and Finland
When answering the question of which countries of the world experienced the least problems during the last 75 years after the Second World War, Sweden and Finland should come to mind first. Thanks to their "status of neutrality", the two countries continued to exist without any difficulties in relations with their neighbors and major powers. In addition, they did not need large military expenditures and could focus on the prosperity of their peoples.
Now the ruling elites of the two states have submitted to the United States, allowing Washington to take advantage of the Ukrainian crisis and force them to join NATO as part of its goal regarding the Arctic–Mediterranean axis. And both administrations are again throwing their states into the fire...
As for our country...
While 70 years of NATO membership have not brought Turkey any benefit, and at the same time have taken away a lot, given the coups and political assassinations, sanctions and support for terrorism, our NATO activists continue to flash on TV screens and compose odes to the alliance.
