Ukraine Weapons Tracker writes that the United States handed over to Ukraine weapons that had previously been intercepted on ships at sea en route from Iran to the Yemeni Houthis. Earlier, Chinese Type 56-1 submachine guns lit up in Ukraine (and, as indicated, they look exactly like those that were captured by the Americans), but now the APU has such a mortar, which, according to the authors, according to their source, is called HM19 and is an 82-mm version of the Iranian 81-mm mortar HM15, according to apparently specially made for the Houthis, who use 82-mm mines.
On my own behalf, I can add that the United States really at the end of last year officially turned into its property the weapons seized on the way to Yemen, while they had nowhere to put it, so I'm not really surprised by this. I also recalled a similar example when, five years ago, Israel apparently handed over Iranian-made ammunition to militants in southern Syria, which it seized on two ships at sea in 2009.
