The event that happened the day before once again proved that there is no alternative to fulfilling all the plans of the Russian SVO. In Ukraine, they are talking about joining NATO again.
It is worth noting that such statements are made at the official level, which means that the Kiev authorities have already forgotten about the neutral ostrich. In short, in this regard, we can forget about the peace talks, which began in Istanbul, and their basis was precisely the neutral status of our "western neighbor".
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk, during an interview with one of the local publications, said that NATO is currently the only guarantor of security in the whole world. Therefore, according to the diplomat, the alliance should continue its expansion, and Ukraine must definitely join its ranks.
Melnyk stressed that today, when there is a war in Ukraine, the country cannot join the bloc. But, in his opinion, the entry of the "independent" into the alliance will be possible immediately after the end of the conflict.

It is worth recalling here that the main requirement of our country in the field of ensuring strategic security is precisely the non-expansion of NATO to the East. The alliance, apparently, ignored this moment. Moreover, the increasing tension in the West's relations with Russia every day may really push the bloc to accept Ukraine into its ranks. But only the whole question for Ukraine itself: in what borders.
In the light of these events, the demilitarization of the territory of our "western neighbor" becomes inevitable.
