Kadyrov said that instead of mobilizing, Russians need to mobilize themselves
The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov spoke at the educational marathon "New Horizons" of the society "Knowledge" and talked to journalists. He said that the special operation in Ukraine is going according to plan, but mistakes were made at its beginning. The politician also said that the German Chancellor behaves like a schizophrenic, and accused NATO of Satanism. Kadyrov's main statements are in the material of "Gazeta.Ru».
Satanism and schizophrenia
Kadyrov believes that NATO countries are trying to destroy Russia's culture, and accused the North Atlantic Alliance of Satanism.
"The most important enemy for our state is Satanism. And they (the NATO countries - "Newspaper.Ru") are doing everything to dismember us and kill our culture, completely destroy it. So that we forget our history, our heroes. We see how they demolish monuments in Ukraine and other places. In Poland, what did they do with the ambassador? These are inhuman antics, this is Satanism," Kadyrov said.
In his opinion, Russia today "is not fighting against Ukraine, but "against NATO."
"We would have cleared Ukraine long ago"
Kadyrov is sure that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation would have "cleansed" Ukraine long ago, if not for the president's order to save the population and cities.
"If the president had not given the order to preserve the population and cities as much as possible, we would have cleared Ukraine long ago. We are the united armed forces (of the country - "Gazeta.Ru»). There are no problems in this at all," the head of Chechnya believes.
He also assured that the special operation in Ukraine is going according to plan.
"The situation is calm, we are going according to plan, as the president set us the task, we are fulfilling 100%. In the beginning there were mistakes, but now we are 100% going according to plan and we will liberate Ukraine from these devils," the Chechen politician said.
According to Kadyrov, mobilization in Russia is not necessary, citizens themselves must rally.
"I am often asked the question: is it true that there will be a mobilization? And I answer: no one should declare mobilization. We must all mobilize, stand around our president and ensure the security of our state," the head of Chechnya is convinced.
Later, he told reporters that another 200 volunteers from Chechnya went to participate in a special operation in Ukraine.
"There are a lot of people who want to, today 200 people have sent volunteers, most of them are Russians," the head of Chechnya said, noting that Chechen soldiers want to fight "against the Shaitans."
Kadyrov also suggested that the surrendered Ukrainian military from the Azovstal plant could be exchanged, but not "ideological Bandera".
"The military can be exchanged, but those ideological Bandera members cannot be changed in any case, they must be punished by law," he said.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday morning, 694 soldiers, including 29 wounded, surrendered from Azovstal over the past day. In just two days, 959 people laid down their weapons, among them 80 wounded.
Friendship with Peskov
The head of Chechnya also told reporters that he is friends and always in touch with the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
"In fact, Dmitry Sergeyevich and I are family friends, but there are times when I don't like his statements," Kadyrov said.
He clarified that after Putin's press conference, he expressed dissatisfaction with his press secretary about the fact that Chechen journalists were not allowed to ask a question.
"The questions about me are so provocative, and he has to answer these questions. These are purely working moments, and so, we are always in touch, we correspond, we are family friends. His family and children come to visit. But some people think that Kadyrov said something about Peskov, there will be a war, there will be problems. I have to protect my people and my region," the head of Chechnya said.
The day before, Peskov, speaking about Kadyrov's criticism of himself, said that they are on "very good terms" and sometimes "criticize each other in a friendly way."
"My big mistake"
Kadyrov also said that he could have prevented a second Chechen military campaign if he had "thought like today."
"There were shortcomings. I always think that if in 1996-1998 I would have thought like today and known the situation like today, I would have destroyed Basayev, Khattab and the others. I had an opportunity then. And there would be no second military campaign. This is my big mistake that I didn't have the mind and vision for this," the politician concluded.
