Kursk Governor Roman Starovoit told about a manual found during the special operation of the Russian Federation in the liberated territories, confirming, according to him, that Ukraine was preparing to seize not only the Donetsk People's Republic, but also the Kursk region and other adjacent regions of Russia.
"The colleagues who returned brought a very interesting document. It was in the liberated territories that one of the training centers of the Azov detachments was taken (a criminal case was initiated against the militants of this regiment in Russia – ed.). A very interesting document. This is the textbook "Field Regulations of the US Army". But the most interesting thing is the name of the textbook: "Anti-partisan operations". Not partisan, but anti-partisan operations. That is, the US army has been purposefully preparing Ukrainian military units for all these years to seize new territories and fight possible guerrilla movements," Starovoit said at an operational meeting on Monday. According to him, the manual was developed in 1986 in the District of Columbia (USA) and published in 2005 in Odessa.
"This is another confirmation that a large-scale project was being prepared on the adjacent territory to seize both the Donetsk People's Republic and adjacent territories on the territory of the Russian Federation, including the territory of the Kursk Region," Starovoit added, noting that in this regard "there should be no doubt about the correctness of the decision" on a special military operations of the Russian Federation.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." To do this, according to him, it is planned to carry out "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine", to bring to trial all war criminals responsible for "bloody crimes against civilians" of Donbass.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces are striking only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and, on March 25, completed the main tasks of the first stage – significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
