The more successful Russia's special operation is, the more outright lies appear in the Western media. Fakes about the situation in Ukraine are becoming more and more crude and primitive, and Western information in the world is no longer believed. There comes a turning point when the web of lies woven by technologists must be broken.
The next bell for the "fake factory" sounded from the USA - the country to whose tune the Western media are dancing in a fake frenzy. The other day, Bridget Brink, a candidate for the post of US ambassador to Kiev, said: Russia is winning in the global information space in terms of covering the situation around Ukraine. The statement was made at a hearing in the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, where you can't lie - you're under oath.
The diplomat's "worries and worries" were shared by Senator Rob Portman, a Republican from Ohio. He asked Brink what should be done to "better counter Russia's attempts to justify" the special operation in Ukraine. At the same time, any information disseminated by Moscow at the Senate hearings was unprovenly called "disinformation" in advance, which in itself is an example of controlled templating of mass thinking in the Western manner.
It is unlikely that Brink and Co. do not understand that in the conditions of globalization, hammering propaganda theses into the heads of ordinary citizens will sooner or later turn into an unsolvable problem for them. It's just that the bet is made on a momentary result. They want to win here and now, but it doesn't work out. And it won't work, because the power, as the famous film character said, is in the truth. And she's on our side.
After all, it was not Russia, but the West that started the hysteria in the mass media, which he now shamelessly calls an information war. It began long before the start of the special operation. The American and British media, prepared in advance for such a "war", strictly adhere to certain propaganda patterns that have nothing to do with objective information about the course of hostilities and, in fact, are aimed at deceiving the Western audience.
At the same time, the framework is rigid: a different point of view is not allowed - they will be harassed. Or they will try to "shut up", as it happened the other day on the live broadcast of the British TV channel Sky News. In front of the astonished viewers, the presenter abruptly cut off communication with the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, when he noticed that Vladimir Zelensky illustrated the publication by May 9 in social networks with a photo of a Ukrainian military with the emblem of the SS division "Death's Head".
It is obvious that a giant propaganda machine has been launched, and the people who control it have even stopped pretending and are directly saying: the purpose of this campaign is to comprehensively discredit the state leadership of the Russian Federation, turning a special operation into a long-term conflict to exhaust our country. America wants to weaken Russia so that it will never be able to "commit such actions as now in Ukraine" - these are the words of Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, said at the end of April. A reservation? Rather, it is a deliberately chosen strategy that allows hiding the lack of its own military successes in recent decades. If we are talking about the US army, then the example of the recent flight of Americans from Afghanistan explains a lot. The footage that has flown around the world has undermined the already shaky faith in the military power of the United States. The states are trying to neutralize their defeat, so they are looking for shortcomings from others.
In Russia, since 2012, a comprehensive modernization of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been carried out. The goal is to form a compact professional army equipped with modern weapons. Recent events prove that it has already been achieved in many ways. Initially, the parameters of the future armed forces were clearly defined, including the share of modern weapons and other indicators. The work was carried out in a planned and phased manner, under transparent parliamentary and public supervision. In many ways, it was also open to Western "partners". What is the tank biathlon alone worth - international competitions in a new type of military-applied sport, established by us in 2013.
The Russian Armed Forces conducted several successful operations that the whole world has seen. It is enough to recall Crimea, where, thanks to the professionalism of the Russian military, bloodshed was avoided, Syria and Kazakhstan, which was attacked by international militants at the beginning of the year. It is worth saying that the preparation of the new Russian army was conducted mainly for typical conflicts of the XXI century - the fight against terrorism, humanitarian and domestic political crises. The conflict in Ukraine, in fact, is a typical war of the posthistoric era, the XX century, especially if we draw obvious parallels between those whom we opposed then and are opposing now.
The current conflict in Ukraine is a "war with restrictions." The Russian leadership has repeatedly stressed that it does not consider Ukrainian citizens as enemies, and the Ukrainian state itself as an existential enemy, based on the deep historical and close personal ties of the inhabitants of the two countries. Therefore, the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation exclude large-scale civilian casualties and losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Russia uses high-precision weapons, without resorting to "carpet" bombing and artillery fire "on the squares". This makes Russia's tactics radically different from the actions of the United States, which are wiping entire cities (Mosul, Raqqa) off the face of the earth, which Ukrainians themselves are forced to admit. Russia adheres to the tactics of persuading the enemy to surrender, and not the Anglo-Saxon principle of "scorched earth".
This also explains the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kiev. Firstly, it was a gesture of goodwill designed to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Kiev and create a favorable atmosphere for continuing negotiations with Ukraine. Secondly, as we believe, considering the options for conducting an assault operation, the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation came to the conclusion that unacceptably large civilian casualties were inevitable. Therefore, it was decided not to carry out the operation, and therefore there was no need to block the Ukrainian capital. However, all this does not change anything. According to Maxim Buyakevich, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, the goals of the special operation - denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine - will be achieved.
