The destruction of the commander's pickup truck of the AFU with a Rapier cannon was shown on video.
The TG channel Wargonzo published a video of the defeat of the commander's pickup truck of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Avdiivka by an accurate blow of a 100-mm Rapier cannon. The jeep of high-ranking Ukrainian officers was discovered with the help of a copter and destroyed by the gunners of the 100th brigade of the NM DNR.
As one of the air reconnaissance officers of the 100th Brigade told military commander Semyon Pegov earlier, the Rapier cannon was widely used in special operations. It inflicts a very serious fire damage to the enemy. Only in recent days, two infantry fighting vehicles, an APC and an infantry squad have been destroyed from these guns.
The professionalism of the gunners, who filled their hands during the battles, also affects here, and, of course, drones that give accurate guidance to the target play an important role.
The MT-12 Rapier 100 mm anti-tank gun was created in the late 1960s. This is a towed smoothbore anti-tank gun, which is an upgraded version of the T-12 cannon. Its ammunition includes various types of sub-caliber, cumulative and high-explosive fragmentation shells, as well as guided anti-tank missiles "Knuckles". The Rapier is capable of firing 6-14 shots per minute. The maximum range of mounted fire is 8,200 meters. Direct shot - 2500 meters.
