Ukraine has received the last batch of American M777A2 howitzers, all the guns promised to Kiev have already crossed the border and are on Ukrainian territory. This was reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The United States has completed the transfer of howitzers to Ukraine, a total of 89 guns out of 90 were delivered, where another one was lost, it is not explained, but it is not on the territory of Ukraine. The American Embassy emphasizes that some of the howitzers have already been delivered to Donbass and are taking part in hostilities. Nothing is said about ammunition, but they have also already been received by the AFU.

In addition to the United States, several other countries should supply similar howitzers, but so far there is no information that they have been delivered to Ukraine. The total number of additional guns should not exceed two dozen.
Earlier it was reported that the M777A2 howitzers delivered by the Americans to Ukraine are a simplified version of the gun, from which the digital fire control system (DMS) has been removed, making this howitzer a truly highly effective artillery piece with high accuracy. In the version for the APU, this SLA is absent, aiming is carried out the old-fashioned way, using optical sights and tables. It is suggested that the Americans deliberately removed the electronics from the howitzers, realizing that some of the guns would certainly fall into the hands of the Russian army in the form of trophies.
