The latest news about the course of the special military operation was announced by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov. His summary, as usual, was based on the results of the combat work of our aviation, missile troops and artillery, air defense systems for a certain period. In this case - for the night from Saturday to Sunday. The general also called the total losses of the armed forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the special operation.
Konashenkov said that two control points, 11 company strongpoints and four warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit by high-precision air-based missiles at night. They were struck in the areas of the settlements of Zaporozhye, Paraskoviyevka, Konstantinovka and Novomikhailovka on the territory of the DPR still controlled by the Ukrainian military.
At the same time, our operational-tactical and army aviation hit 32 more areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two launchers of the S-300 air defense system were destroyed. And in the Shpilevka area of the Sumy region there is also a Ukrainian radar post.
About the skillful actions of Russian helicopter pilots should be said separately. They not only accurately hit enemy positions and objects, but also perform many other important tasks during a special military operation. Yesterday, for example, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of combat work accompanied by military columns of the army aviation fire support group of the Western Military District. The purpose of such a task is to reliably cover the cars from the air. In parallel, they conduct reconnaissance from helicopters, and in case of detection of reconnaissance and sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they "iron" them with aviation weapons.
However, let's return to the summary of the Russian Defense Ministry. Konashenkov said that our rocket troops and artillery hit six control points overnight, 123 areas of concentration of enemy manpower and military equipment, 13 artillery batteries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions. As a result of rocket and artillery strikes, up to 150 nationalists were destroyed, 26 units of their military equipment were disabled.
Russian air defense systems in the area of the settlement of Stepnoye, Kherson region, intercepted a Ukrainian tactical missile "Tochka-U". And in the districts of Kamenka, Malaya Kamyshevakha, Brazhkovka of the Kharkiv region and Chernobayevka of the Kherson region - 11 rockets of the Smerch multiple launch rocket system.
Calculations of anti-aircraft missile systems shot down 15 Ukrainian drones. This happened in the areas of the settlements of Novotroitskoye, Vladimirovka and Petrovskoye, as well as over Epifanovka, Kudryashovka, Verkhnyaya Duvanka over the territory of the LPR. And also in the area of Chkalovskoye, Great Passages and in the area of the Higher Saline of the Kharkiv region.
Another Ukrainian drone was destroyed over the island of Zmeiny. There is generally fit to arrange a cemetery of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On this piece of land in the Black Sea, the Kiev generals have already lost so many people and a variety of equipment that would be enough to carry out an entire operation.
In the sea off the coast of Zmeiny, Ukrainian fighters, bombers and helicopters, many drones, including the Bayraktar-TB2 attack, landing boats of the Centaur project are resting. And this list is constantly being supplemented with new losses.
Yesterday, the TV channel of the Russian Defense Ministry "Zvezda" showed a video of the AFU servicemen killed while trying to land special forces units on the island. They approached the Snake on three amphibious assault boats. The Ukrainian special forces did not manage to disperse and gain a foothold on the island. They were met with dense fire. As a result of a fierce battle, Ukrainians were pressed to the sea and destroyed. The bodies of the AFU servicemen were scattered all along the coast of Zmeiny. They were then washed up on the island for several more days.
All such losses are recorded in the Russian Defense Ministry. According to these data, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian army has lost 165 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 879 drones, 306 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,098 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 381 multiple rocket launchers, 1,525 field artillery and mortars, as well as 2,934 military vehicles.
